About Sailact
SAILACAT started offering sails in Kal’s hometown of Sag Harbor in the early 2000s, after years of apprenticing on charter Cattlemarans in the US Virgin Islands.
Kal’s been sailing her whole life, since infancy, with her Captain /boat builder/ Dad. “ Sailing is in my blood. We were aboard all the time. Dad taught celestial navigation for over 30 years with the US Power Squadron, he loved nothing better than being on a boat. I’m just carrying on the family tradition.”
Kal began teaching sailing and navigation in the 1990’s. When Catamaran Serenity joined the fleet, Sailacat was born. What a joy it is to do private Sailabarations aboard this beautiful catamaran. Many of our regulars have met our beloved apprentice Miles. Mile’s family began chartering with us about 5 years ago when Miles was just 10. This enthusiastic young man was so excited to sail with us that first day; soon after boarding, he was invited to climb up next to Kal on our tandem helm seat to get a feel for catamaran sailing. He is a natural.
He had the best day ever aboard, and so did we. By the time he was 14, he was aboard, regularly learning the ropes. We are excited to welcome him again this summer and can’t wait to continue improving his nautical skills. Miles

4 hrs : 10 – 2 pm, 4 – 8pm | 2 & 3 hour Sailing charters do not include the optional beach break. Rain days are rescheduled at no charge at the discretion of the Captain.
A 50% non-refundable deposit holds the date. Rates, dates & times are subject to change without notice. 20% service fee additional.

What to Bring: All your friends! Nibbles and drinks, swimsuits & towels, sun lotion, no spray lotion it stains decks and makes decks slippery. Hats that stay on, your favorite bluetooth music , for our bluetooth speaker.
Rates: Starting at $1850,
We offer 2 hour midweek sails , Monday to Thursday. Weekends we offer our popular 4 hour adventure tours with beach break and swim time. Morning and afternoon sails available on first come first serve basis. Trust our experience and reputation for your special Hamptons Sailing holiday .
*A 50% deposit holds your dates.
*Rain days rescheduled at no charge , at discretion of Captain .
* + a 20% service applies to all sail rates
What is Included: Licensed Captain, PFD’s, water toys, and a giant cooler with fresh ice.
NYS Law: Children under 12 must wear PFD’s aboard.
